Twickenham Cordylines

I was fortunate enough to go to the game at Twickenham yesterday, beautiful warm sunshine, great atmosphere and a great game made it a fantastic day (a few beers in the cabbage patch helped too 
) I did notice that lots of locals have large Cordy's in their front gardens, and there was a roundabout packed with them too, is it a bit of a tradition down there?
