Good stuff, mine will have been 2 weeks tomorrow. No movement yet.
Re: Germinating Schefflera seeds
Did you cover them over after sowing or leave them open? Congrats on your germination

I left them uncovered. I don't like covering seeds if I can help it as I think it increases the chance of mould and fungus growth. Being in the bathroom the air was pretty moist at times.DiCasS wrote:Did you cover them over after sowing or leave them open? Congrats on your germination

Eucalyptus always surprise me by how small their seedlings are - because young plants' leaves are usually pretty, big, and they grow at a cracking rate, but the seedlings look incredibly vulnerable.Mr List wrote:looks so tiny and fragile atm

Kris, friend to many...
Could you do one for lets say Sikkimensis. I just bought the plant but be nice to do my own. Tropical seeds and me don't get on somehow.
Thanks!
No probs if you can't.

Its ok Kris,
I just ordered the plant before I wrote. I also buried in compost bed weeks ago three seeds. Lets see how they do. If they do germinate i'll give you one.

Re: Germinating Schefflera seeds
That's what I do now. My first attempt with seeds I got 4 from 10 seeds and thought "This is easy". Never had a single Musa seed germinate since ... and since read that 10% germination, even, is regarded as goodkata wrote:I just ordered the plant before I wrote.
So now I just buy some on eBay when they look cheap enough, and let someone else worry about getting a reliable seed source, and getting the plants from Seed to 1L pots
Re: Germinating Schefflera seeds
Yea.... I don't want the hassle either Kristen,
It was just a matter when to order it. I bought it from Himalayan Garden.
