Quick background: the house was built in 1785 by Francis Johnston for Richard Robinson, the Archbishop of Armagh. Some 2 or 3 generations later (we believe around 1850), the Robinsons added a Turner cast- and wrought-iron conservatory to the back of the house. Both the conservatory and the house were in need of considerable attention when we acquired the property in 1995; the house took the bulk of our efforts for the first 15 years. We started on the conservatory in the summer of 2012.
