Colocasia

Hi there,
After performing some research I'm a bit confused as to the water requirements of Colocasia, some places say they need continually moist conditions and others don't. Basically I've got a SW facing raised border and was wondering if I could get away with planting a colocasia. If so are there any UK based online nurseries that you would recommend that I could order a colcocasia.
