How long does it take to grow lemon?

Post by Mon24 »

Hello there. I am a beginner in the subject of tropical plants getting experience from forums and articles that I find in the Internet. About one year ago I planted a seed of lemon (I had it from the market) and it is growing really well. I was wondering how long do I have to wait until it has fruits? Is it a very long process or can I make it faster?

Its going to take several years, keep it growing by not allowing it to become heavily pot bound, protect in winter. what the fruit will be like and the quantity produced will be down to genetic luck. If you really want lemons buying a named fruiting form is the way to go

Hi Mon, I can't tell you how long it will take, but I have lemons on a two foot high tree. Just feed and water it well.
Don't Just sit there, plant something!
