Wanting to finish off our last harvested pumpkin from our vegetable garden before retreating to warmer climes we noticed that one side of the exotic fruit (or is it a vegetable) had collapsed and looked like it was rotting. Probably because it was placed on the top of the kitchen cupboards and was too warm for too long.

As the flesh started to liquify and ferment it made the seeds inside germinate and some were even rotting off. Has this happened to anyone else?
