I, too, would add a note of caution about Canna virus. I said last year that the majority of UK stock was virused :(
Stock from Steve at Phoenix was superb and is just about to regrow in a coolish greenhouse.
Even totally clean stock can become infected within a very short term from virused plants in your neighbours garden (via the shed garden centres) so do be careful.
I guess if the whole of the UK did not grow Canna for a few years then we could probably get rid of the virus, but that is not going to happen.

We could all stop growing them Don but as soon as we started again the virused stock would come flooding back. It's not just the G/C's that are at fault though, take a look at the pictures on some of the "specialist growers" sites :?

Of course you are right Steve. The situation isn't helped by some of the GC's that do not seem to care,----or idiots like me who think that some of the more gallumphing cannas such as musaefolia and edulis look rather attractive when virused. :oops:
