dwarf red banana?

Hello,
ive had this dwarf red banana plant in this pot for a few weeks now, are there any special tricks that i could use to give it a good start in its big new pot,or is it just a case of some gritty compost and water??

any suggestions or advice would be a great help..

oh ps..it is a minature red banana isnt it?? icon_silent icon_silent

think its an ensette murellii prob spelt wrong!! think chicken poo pellets work well!! and miracle grow hte old favorite.. :D

cheers for that, im going to buy some chicken poo pellets at the weekend and get it repotted..and we will see what happens..

ensettes are certainly not dwarf. They get enormous!

Think big for the Ensete - your certainly need a new plan on planting this maurelli .... plan b

hello all,
thankyou for the advice on the maurelli, had a look as some of the links on here you provided, and i think im going for a large pot and a dry over winter in the shed.. keep you posted success or failure :|
