Well the Lonely Planet overs good info to. You need to book those tours at your hotel, not from those guys hanging arround taking tourist on trips and tours. They are real thieves!

Emm, if the hotels are charging £1pm for internet, how much do you think a trip to Komodo would be if booked through the hotel? Although that would probabaly be the safest way to go. Domestic travel anywhere in Indonesia is risky. Their planes are unsafe - One airline was grounded by the government as they had been using second hand spare parts and had a bad safety record. In fact, last I heard Indonesian planes aren't allowed to fly into European airspace. Garuda doesn't fly here any more. And their ferry's are floating death traps - at least, they float before they sink! One waiter we spoke to on Lombok told us he prays every time he goes home to Bali by ferry! Plus, the tides around and between those islands are treacherous.

BTW - Lonely Planet is good, but it isn't always entirely accurate.

Just saw this - http://lomboklovers.aforumfree.com/lomb ... ks-t78.htm

Well everyone, we are home safe and sound, I have lots of photos to share with you all, also I took photo's of plants that I've not seen before so hopefully that will have you thirsty for more, and as for £1 per min for Internet, our rep got £25 a week the hotel shuttle bus driver got $2 per day and drinks, well that's where most of our money went on.
1Ginger Ale,1xFanta,1xBintang local beer =133:100 rupiahs = £8:63.
I need time to sort all the updates and e-mails out so once that's all done I will start to add the plant photos, and add the rest of the holiday photo's to my web shot account, the link being at the bottom of the page, but I will tell you when they are done, I need some sleep now as was up at 06:30 on the 1st Dec, we got picked up at 13:30 to got to the airport(Bali-Hong Kong) and then Hong Kong to London Heath Row and got indoors here at about 08:15, I went though all the post made shore the car would start then went to bed for an hr or so and was picking the cats up from the cattery at 11:45am this morning and now I feel as if I need to go back to bed for more sleep as did not sleep much on the plane coming back from Hong Kong as it was really noisy what with engines etc.
I've missed you all.

This plant has roots that come from above the soil or sand to help support it and has giant fruit like big fir cones.
