I saw a trailer for it last night - it looked quite good. It had that mad place in the middle of the rainforest in Mexico.
I don't find 'Montbeliardii' too bad - it could of been worse... Sarah Raven, Christine Walkden, Bob Flowerdew...........

Charlie Dimmock

Dairmud "interlocking soycles" Gavin

the list is endless..........

Looks a wonderful place, I'd love some of that in my back garden.

Are the pic's from PS's trip, Don.

Yes, Melissa. He posted them on UKO and I was so impressed I saved the link. If I ever venture to Mexico then that place will be a must see.
Just where abouts do you propose putting a spiral staircase in your garden

We nearly bought one once but couldn't think of a use for it. Afterwards I thought we could have used it for access to a tree house.

Just another little project for Keith. Lucky for him we didn't buy them.

Wow.... I watched it all the way through... not the average gardening programme... I normally lose interest when they go off exotics. This is different, the Jeremy Clarkson fo Gardening maybe? I'll be setting my alarm for next week 8)
Best regards

I really enjoyed the programme...not so sure about 'Montbeliardii' though (I'm sure he is a lovely guy but just don't like his style of presentation)...I must say that I loved the minimal spaces at the beginning, not much in the way of planting but did it for me!

Worth watching. I recognised a lot of the Mexican scenery from Paul S's photos he's recently posted from his visit (his report). However, I wanted to know the names of the plants they showed :)

Also thought it quite funny that the bit that 'Montbeliardii' Don raved about most, after visiting those wonderful areas of Mexico and Cuba, were the vegetable plots in Havana.

I guess you can't teach an old dog... etc etc :)

I agree, a very good programme, Plonky Don maybe wasnt the right presenter, but very good all the same.

I have to admit I drifted off (mentally) about half way through. I found it a bit too intensive. Maybe I just wasn't in the mood at 9pm on a Sunday night.

I've recorded it so I'll reserve judgement until I've watched it again.

I suppose it takes all types. I don't fit the RHS Mold. I thought 'Montbeliardii' made the programme. If it had been Alan Tichmarsh I would have been back on here posting within 5 minutes of the start.

Helen, I think the point 'Montbeliardii' was making about Havana was that these are like mini organic farms in inner city areas, there is no transport to market, and some are saying, is the way the rest of the world has to follow.

Dave, I know what 'Montbeliardii' was saying. And I agree that people should be making more of an effort to grow their own food. I grow loads of different fruit and veggies (well, not so many veggies now I've popped a BFG (Big Flipping Greenhouse) on top of the veggie beds). I would love to see more greenery in the cities. Loads of benefits all around.
