easy answer,paint half your clay terracotta pot black,expose this side to the sun to absorb more heat and the unpainted side will let the excess moisture evaporate.matt blackboard paint would probably be ideal as a gloss would seal the surface

Trouble is,a terracotta pot that holds about 35litre will cost you best part of £20,where as a 35litre black plastic pot from LBS is about £3,no contest.

Weve,
Not really a good example, some come with 'liners' some do not? The principle is the same...yours may only need the felt to make them operational??
