BBC Weather just showed the worst of the rain to the Northwest of London traveling eastward from about 3am onward. The SW gales could catch Kent.

Rain has just got heavier here. Can't hear the TV now in the conservatory

2.52mm so far
Best regards
Dave

Only 3.56mm so far but quite heavy short bursts of rain. I could do with 30mm to help end the drought. The grass has greened up over the last couple of weeks but is only growing in patches

So no more watering then this week for you southern boys

Did a bit of plating over the weekend and the soil was lovely and moist down to a good spade depth and a bit more
The drought seems like a long time ago

Good luck to all in the south hope you don't get too much damage

We survived. No plant damage and a full water butt lol. Put my favourite potted stuff in the garage.

Had 13.46mm of rain so no flooding here. Winds gusts have been 20 - 30mph so no damage here either. Stopped raining and sunny spells now. Temps on the rise up to 18.9C currently

Wish that was the case Dave, but i can be certain that a few places in my garden will still be dry no matter how much rain theres been, trouble with big leaf plants they have such a big dripline area, my collies are the first to let me know that :!:

my Mrs still thinks im mad watering in the Rain

It's just dry, overcast and quite still ATM. Lots of rain yesterday but it passed over in the night with no sign of any gales. I was out around 6.30 am this morning and it felt so still, muggy and warm despite it being only 19C. The combined fragrance from jasmine and Hedychiums was almost overpowering. Great start to the day icon_cheers though I should have had a much needed lay-in and am now feeling shattered :|
