Getting jacaranda to flower in uk

Post by nicebutdim »

My jacaranda has been going for about 7 years now and no sign of flowering. It gets lifted about december and brought inside until April and grows quite well but it would be nice to see it flower.Am I being too optimistic? I have plied it with potash ,given it sandy soil but still no sign of a flower.I have seen these in Australia ,quite tiny sticks with flowers,so it doesn't seem to be the size that influences it.I take it out of it's pot and plant straigt into the ground which it seems to take off in.
