Using Duvets for protection

im using an old 13.5 tog duvet to cover my coldframe and its holding out, all plants fine, anybody else using one for frost and ice protection, do they work for you?

That should work fine provided you avoid it getting wet, or it might halve the tog rating

Yes, duvets work well. A good idea to cover with a tarp as well if you have one as they are a pig to dry this time of year when you are finished using it.

Yes,I am using duvets and old pillows and sleeping bags,the neighbours think I've lost the plot!I remove them as soon as the temperatures rise.Its a good idea to also add some waterproof covering on top,but allow the plants to breathe.
