It would seem that the variegated form was trying to revert and the dark green colouring of the type has been lost.

You're right redsquirrel. Indeed, all variegated forms are as a matter of fact a reaction of degeneration (according to strictly genetic point of view.).

very nice indeed and a welcome member in any yucca collection
i have got a variegated recurvifolia,i was very lucky to be given it from mike kenchington along with a x floribunda but i cant remember what its crossed with,flowered this year with tiny flowers for a recurvish looking plant
