Where can I buy eddoes ?

Hi everyone . does anyone know where I could buy eddoes ?. Ive read posts suggesting that they were available at tesco , asda etc. had a look at my local stores here at birmingham . No luck . Theyre on ebay but seem too pricey.

My local Asda and Tesco did them back in 2008, but stopped selling them after about a year. If you have Asian or Oriental grocery shops in the area it might be worth checking them out.

Eddoes is the Carribean name for Colocasia esculenta, but depending on where they have come from may be called something else. Check out this page for naming of edible Aroids http://www.kallus.com/aroids/ediblecommon.htm icon_thumright

I got some from Morrisons earlier this year in Walsall.

look out for an asian or oriental greengrocers near where you live. There are three at least in Brighton and Brum is a bigger place so odds on theres some around icon_thumright
