Removing Colocasia pups

Post by glovemeister » Wed Nov 07, 2012 10:22 am

Hi Guys, got my first Colocasia (Black Magic) this year which has been happily growing in my pond up until about a month ago when I brought it to my overwintering spot at work. Since then it has been growing better than ever and has now produced 4 pups of varying sizes, my question is how and when to remove them. Should I treat them like a basjoo and wait till they have roots and slice them off?

wait till they have a few roots and cut a little into the bulb when you remove them.
