Pinellia pedadisecta and Pinellia ternata forms

Post by Palmer »

Another of the more unusual Aroids that I’m going to try this summer… anyone growing them!
They look very much like Arisaemas and are said to be very easy to grow, in-fact given the right conditions they can become invasive although I don’t think that will be a problem in my garden because half of it is clay

I was reading on a US Aroid site that there hardy in zone4

If anyone is interested in trying them you can buy them on eBay from Himalayan gardens and this site has a good selection of them too.

Thanks,

They're on my to-do list but not tried them yet. I'd love to know how you get on with them.

I thought I replied to this last week icon_scratch Cracking up :ahhh!:

Incredibly cold hardy, but do they need 30C summer to perform well ?
Best regards
Dave

I haven’t found any UK information on them Dave but in Germany they say the two I’ve mentioned like cool growing condition.
