Anyone seen these before? Am i right in thinking this is your standard eddoe with pretty packaging and a hefty price tag?

Yeah Esculentia is the same as a Tesco/supermarket Eddo I think. Most standard variety you can get?

If they are spherical they are probably 'Mammoth' or 'Jack's Giant', which are esculenta,but biggest leaf types.

thats how they sell them here in the states...there all "mammoth". They come in packs of 1,5, 12 bulbs at various prices

so basically i probaby should have bought one as they are something i havent got (a large leafed Colocasia)...Damn! I presume you start them the same way as grocer eddoes?

mine went in compost on a heat mat for maybe a week then they explode and you can pop them right in the ground
