I don't believe so, I got mine privately form the US last year, agristarts in the US were selling them but importing is such a pain in the butt Think Jungle seeds had a few eariler in the summer, but were £30 ish.sam140 wrote:Hi dave,

There are a couple of us trialing it. I tend to get Colocasia big if they are going to grow big.
Best regards

Your's is slightly different to mine Derrick. Mine has a slightly yellow mid vein, which your seems to lack at the moment, but it sounds like you plant is about the same stage as mine is now Well have to compare notes
Best regards

Dave In the US they are readily available, where as here only those suppliers wishing to go to battle with DEFRA on import taxes will have them, and you pay for all the hassle they had.
I have a Pup for SteveW when mine is dug up in the next week or so, so they will slowly start to become available through members, but they are not prolific puppers so will take a time unless they are TC'd.
Derrrick I overwintered in the Green last winter in the conservatory with a min of 6C. It was kept on the dry side but a small amount of water as max temps are up to 20C on sunny days. I think with the rareity of this in the UK I will do the same this year. I don't have enough for experimentation at the moment. I will reduce to one leaf to keep the size reasonable.

Re: Introducing Jacks Giant ( Jack's Giant )
I picked mine up from Jungle seeds in their pre holiday sale but it was still about £15 I think. Anyway have repotted it into a 3 litre pot and sent it off to my Dad's heated green house for the winter (I've no space left in mine). He's promised to look after it and I will get it back when his tommies get planted in the spring. As my middle son is called Jack I am hoping he may help nurture it from then on.
