No ASDA near here, and every ASDA I checked in the year didn't have any.

The one place that did have them (Tesco Exeter Vale) doesn't now.

It depends, the ones I called super eddoes were up to 400gms each  but the smaller (normal sized) ones maybe 8 or so to the Kg. They are loose so you can look for those with good eyes

They are already cleaned for storage, so if you keep them cool and dry, they won't deteriate. They don't need to be planted to sprout. Just put them in warmth. Pot up into well drained compost, when the sprout is well developed, and only keep just moist, until rapid growth starts, then increase watering.

Its in the poly tunnel. Just checked it and it seems fine. God ownership of all these swap plants is stressful !

Hi Lucien, I'll try and bring various taro and eddoe tubers from the asian grocers in the Wisley meet. They tend to be bigger too :)

Thanks Steve, I have noticed that, and an Asian one next door. The gas pipe laying alternate line traffic lights means we have plenty of time to lock the car go browsing, buy, read a paper, and still the lights will be red
