Hi there - I was wondering - does this really look as mad in real life as in the Amrulee picture? Ik'm not sure whether I think it's amazing, or a mess! And does anyone know how big does it grow please?

I looked at these but got the impression they were not going to be in the slightest hardy.
I have a Black Magic which does it's best to die, but if they do prove to be more suitable to our climate I will give them a go.

Not very big for me Darren, about two foot I reckon from a small plant.
Taken 03/09/2009
Despite Mojito getting planted out first week in June in a prime spot, getting well fed and watered, it's only 12"- 18". Which is only about 6" taller than when I received it from 'World garden plants' They advertise it as "Can get quite big"
Taken tonight:

Bob, I think this is a combination of it likes hot wet, and you have had cold wet. Most Colocasia like heat, but some do well without. This one may be like Black Magic preferring a US style summer

My Mojito is doing ok about a foot or so high. I'll take a pic tomorrow.
It is the most striking colocasia around, especially the stems

Mine is doing really well since i got it off grub about a month ago and has grown two new leaves. I repotted it and give it roughly 3 litres of water a day.

Thought i'd try some BM's and normal esculentas hanging in the pond outside and in pond filter which is under cover.
both seem to have grown about the same with the ones under cover just a slightly bigger
Biggest leaf on BM just shy of 2ft and about 4ft high in old money and still knocking out new leaf's
