I bought an Ensete off him in march,

Then everyone here began talking about their Ensetes and others. By April I had to write to him cus I wanted my plant..like yesterday. :lol: He would'nt part with it he said till all signs of frost are gone.

Good as his word it was weeks before I got it....felt like weeks lolol

Problem is Trudy I am hoping to buy another Trachycarpus £40.00 . Maybe later in the year for the Bamboo.

heres some pictures taken yesterday and the other day.the bamboos are looking great after an overall mild winter and pruning.no damage at all apart from some tatty leaves from sparrows and wind.

indeed i am adam,cheers.expecting big things from my vivax's this year now that they've been in the ground for 3 years establishing.

not really yet kris just some autumn shoots starting to regrow.plenty coming on the fargesia robusta and scabrida though.

I cant believe how tightly clumped they are too......they look no further than 1 metre circumference.

Wish list - Big Palms or Dicksonia antarctica's but open to anything really.....Cash Waiting !

they've behaved themselves so far :lol: apart from one spectabilis which has gone walkies and has to be kept an eye on.

I wasn't sure if I liked the stripped cane look until the last photo icon_scratch but....
Its always the girth that impresses the most :wink:

Cheers Jacko, not heard of that particular one, I'll icon_study on it. The canes are so impressive and I suppose may get even bigger in time :shock: , they will look like scaffold poles :lol:
