some bamboo pictures
Re: some bamboo pictures
I bought an Ensete off him in march,
Then everyone here began talking about their Ensetes and others. By April I had to write to him cus I wanted my plant..like yesterday. He would'nt part with it he said till all signs of frost are gone.
Good as his word it was weeks before I got it....felt like weeks lolol
Problem is Trudy I am hoping to buy another Trachycarpus £40.00 . Maybe later in the year for the Bamboo.

heres some pictures taken yesterday and the other day.the bamboos are looking great after an overall mild winter and pruning.no damage at all apart from some tatty leaves from sparrows and wind.

Re: some bamboo pictures
they've behaved themselves so far apart from one spectabilis which has gone walkies and has to be kept an eye on.
Re: some bamboo pictures
Lovely bamboos, I can't believe the thickness of those last canes , what bamboo it this?
Re: some bamboo pictures
I wasn't sure if I liked the stripped cane look until the last photo but....
Its always the girth that impresses the most

Re: some bamboo pictures
Cheers Jacko, not heard of that particular one, I'll on it. The canes are so impressive and I suppose may get even bigger in time , they will look like scaffold poles
Re: some bamboo pictures
check out yorkshire kris's thread further down titled 'super thick bamboos!'theres a link there that shows you how big this monster can get.
