Black bamboo new shoots are green

My black bamboo new shoots are coming out green,is this normal

Perfectly normal - they darken with maturity.

Yes they do start out green and ripen black over the season. Problem for me was they sprouted everywhere :lol:

Not all go black. Depending on the strain of nigra you have some will stay green with brown and black markings. Some just go a dull dark brown.
