Bamboo's planted in pots or left to rome ?

Chimonobambusa tumidissinoda or walking stick bamboo is very invasive you know,takes some containing.good to -13C.

I know J . I've held off getting it for a while - its just looks class though, so i've given in!

Cant be any more rampant than Bashania Fargesii. ... anyway I love a challenge ..

oh yeah,i see now,sorry gone off topic a bit. :lol:bamboos will always do better in the ground than in pots.mine are all in the ground and have behaved so far for the last 9 years.i do root prune once or twice a year if needed.also here its cooler in mid wales it tends to keep my bamboos clumped and not running.

At the start of march I'm taking delivery of a Chimonobambusa tumidissinoda from Scottish Bamboo.

Please post a photo when it arrives....I have just seen a magnificent mature specimen at The Rodings, and it is just a fantastic bamboo....
