I thought it was worth putting here too has he has a remarkable collection of choice bamboos sadly many look dead now :(

thats really depressing seeing all that devastation.what temperatures was he experiencing? looks low to affect those vivax's like that.

i missed that thread,i thought temps must have been low to do that to a vivax.right on the threshold of its hardiness,shame.a lot of his species will bounce back but be smaller in size.im afraid a few will be completely dead.itll be intersesting to see if the chusquea culeo and gigantea will regrrow from complete topkill.it will mean they are root hardy down to those temps but im not optomistic.there isnt much mulch around them which may have helped a bit. :(
