Fargesia robusta campbell.

Post by karl66 »

I have part of an ajoining fence where i did not want to risk planting any of my big phyllosachys!!, so i've ordered 3 15 litre pots off simon at amulree, i already have fargesia maurelli super jumbo but wanted something different. Whats your experience with campbell, from what i've read its more upright but has smaller leaves?. karl.

a great bamboo, strong upright growth and a lovely shuttlecock shape.good clumping variety, striking appearence with its white sheathes and green culms.hardy and quick to get to a decent size, mines around 14ft after 3.5 years and a base diameter of around 4ft.one of the first to shoot in early spring.
