This afternoon i've been tidying up all the bamboos's, what a difference it makes when the first 3/4 foot of cane is exposed, i think they look even better :) i want the height & bushyness from there on so i've left the rest looking wild!!, this only really looks good on phyllostachy boo's in my opinion. I have lots of japanese kimmie thats bushy but theres no side shoots on these to remove as such. My fargesias i like left like a bush as the culms are so thin anyway. karl.

I done some about a month ago icon_thumleft I was about to ask if there is a best time to do this.....also when is it best to thin out...

Wish list - Big Palms or Dicksonia antarctica's but open to anything really.....Cash Waiting !

I do it when they're fresh, they snap off a lot easier
