Blue bamboo New Century

Just picked up one of these for £7 along with another called Pillar and a red one, all Fargesias.

Anyone growing these?

Just had a look on Mulu as they have a great selection of boo's, but can't see this one, although there are some new varieties i've not seen before

is that from hampsons plant world?

they got any new exotic trees in ?

ps
do you get the 444 from wakefield to leeds ever kris?
it stops right outside rothwell garden centre going both ways.

they had just got a new batch of mahonia soft caress, as well as other things last time I was there.

Great value finds!

The blue one sounds interesting. Can you see any blue on it now?

Yes all from Hampsons, fresh in. Although nothing else new, good sized cordys for £20.

Cheers for the heads up about the Mahonia, I picked one up last week. :)

Not really I think I'll have to wait for mature culms to develop next year.

VERY interested to see if the culms color up as the pics shows..if they do I'll take a division or 2 :lol:. Ive always wondered if candy cane bamboo and chocolate bamboo color up as they say also..great buys even if they don't. Bamboo just isnt for sale like that here in the states

I don't know the name of this bamboo renae tagged me in her picture a few years ago now on facebook, but this looks to be a blue bamboo. It is very impressive. I wonder if you have the same one kris?

blue henon is the only one I know of that makes a nice blue culm
