some of my varieties have decided to shoot very late in the year, probably due to all this rain and mild weather.the new growth probably wont come to much but it is unexpected.new shoots on nigra, henon, spectabilis, fargesias and vivax.

Will you snap off the new growth? My Chuqueas and Fargesias are doing the same.

i leave them now, they usually die back to the ground by spring.during a mild winter some survive to regrow in spring.
