i've not long done a pruning of all the lower branches of my spectabilis and as a result,the late afternoon sun has caused a beautiful pink 'suntan' on them.dont know how long it will last but it looks great at the moment.

A great candy colour there!

Mine just go reddy/orange or stay yellow.

Talking of lower leaf pruning has reminded me that I need to do a lot soon...
