musa basjoo time to unwrap

As title says i was wondering when people unwrap there overwintering Bananas outside.Obviously this will depend on weather/forecast and location and may well vary year by year but on average when ? icon_scratch

I would say it depends on temperature, soil conditions and size / age of plant. Mine was only very small so I dug it up and kept it in the polytunnel this winter.

I unwrapped mine nearly 3 weeks ago and they are doing fine. I'm planning on chopping off some of the suckers and potting them up this week.

i unwrapped mine today and all pseudo stems intact and starting to leaf.All pups are looking fine and firm.
This is earlier than usual i usually unwrap around middle of april.Except last year when i left it to May due to the bad winter and BFE of course.
