Good to see you are keeping those with all your other toys, Carl, or are you just growing them in a nursery
You've done a great job of keeping those overwinter

I presume you were watering it Carl ? Mine has been in the conservatory, bare root, with a min temp of between 6 and 10C. It is now pushing up it's roller.
Best regards
Dave

Since it's been lifted I've watered it twice and this has only been lately due to increased light levels as winter time the back room's quite dark. I only water from the bottom and this is only small amounts try to keep on the dry side to stop it coming through the ceiling .

Just curious to know how everybody's 'Montbeliardii''s have come through the winter and spring. Mine has gone ballistic the last couple of weeks. It was only about 2.5 ft when It was coaxed back to life in April. It is now over 10 ft and every new roller is reaching for the sky, obviously not in Dave's league but pretty impressive growth.

Mine last winter,
I had kept it in the lounge and was keen to get it out as soon as I could...big mistake.
Its now had to start from scratch again but at least I never lost it.

Looking back on the thread its hitting the ceiling...what did you do with it after that Dave? And no way could I lift such weight.

Ai a guess I'd say Dave's is motoring in the heat but the winds are having their wicked way with the leaves.

I had to manually unfurl the roller as it grew Kata, and bent it down under the roof, but as soon as winter ended (5th April) it went outside. It was not phased by that, but the Maurelii went backwards and had to be brought inside again.kata wrote:Looking back on the thread its hitting the ceiling...what did you do with it after that Dave? Here is a pic from yesterday. Good job I took it then as dismal grey this morning

Kata, the first pic could be a 'Montbeliardii', but the second is definitely not, that is a Maureliikata wrote:Mine last winter,
