Sorry to hijack the thread but I've noticed today that my Nagensiums have the very same closed petioles.
But with a nice powdery black ish stem with a reddish base above the soil.

Also my sold as Chini-champa, which probably isn't, has closed petioles, but Hajaray and Chini-champa are supposed to be related. as Chini-champa is suspected as one of the parents. Need DNA test
