Quite normal for a lot of ferns Cordy.

Like a numpty, i was picking the fronds off all my Dryopteris erythrosora thinking they were fried , only to find out they were the new emerging fronds

Wow. I`ve never seen that on a fern before. Quite beautiful. Like Arlon said ` we live and learn `
Any idea what type of fern that is Cordy?

Quite usual for some ferns.

Not sure how long those emerging ferns will last given that we are now technically in winter :(
