Both my ferns have red tinted fronds unfurling is this normal?

Quite normal for a lot of ferns Cordy.
Like a numpty, i was picking the fronds off all my Dryopteris erythrosora thinking they were fried , only to find out they were the new emerging fronds

Quite usual for some ferns.
Not sure how long those emerging ferns will last given that we are now technically in winter

It's Blechnum barailiense, and normal for this species. I'm affraid mine just died in the livingroom while I was on vacation
