I was just wondering if anyone knows of a centre that specializes in ferns in the Worcester area? Or any decent garden centres?

I would think that Vales or Akamba would be good bets for yourself...

No fern specialist around here im afraid.

I will be giving this place a visit in a few months as its only 15 mins from me, looks a nice place.

There are some ok garden centres around here, but none sell exotics.

Im talking about No fern specialists in worcester itself.

Brums about 40 mins away, not too far but thats where the OP is from, so pressumed he'd already know about akamba.

Vales is evesham, so yeah thats pretty close.

Thanks Guys, Hyde Cottage Palms and Exotics is close, I will try there as it looks very interesting, as does the Vale Exotics. Akamba I have visited and is quite impressive but a step too far as is Fibrex although they have an enormous variety of ferns.

BTW Is Vale Exotics the old Mulu site as I’d heard Mulu moved to Wales?

if you don't mind buying online, this company in Ireland is one that I use often (I know my local garden centre also buys directly from them)

ive had loads from them... and they are great plants or plugs... depends on your choice... and variety wise they are spot on

I bought 3 plugs and 2 9cm pots last year and all are doing great.
