If you have no winter,...it might be evergreen,....But if you do have winter,....it's not,...
I have an intermedia I think (difference is not very easy to tell, but they are distinguishable).
The species has proven hardy in winter for me, but we'll see what yours does in winter.

I must say it's very strange that so many sources say it's evergreen,...

Kind regards,
Remko.

Not read all the links or know these plants but the term evergreen can be used in different ways in different locations. E.g
Cannas and ricinus are evergreen in parts of the world. Just a thought.

Just to let people know that I successfully ordered 4 of these over the telephone from Fibrex nurseries. I'll let you know what they're like when they arrive later this week.

Hi, concerning Coniogramme intermedia, this nice fern is at least USDA zone 4 hardy! It naturally grows in our Far East e.g. Sakhalin icland (zone 5), many collectioners grow it near/in Moscow, for example me. If someone needs I can help, just cut rhisome piece, pack it and send to you. I would like to change it for Tetrapanax Rex rhizome piece (difficult to find in Russia) or some other exotic plant rhizome. With best wishes. :D

@Roman: Do you have any pictures, and are you growing more specialist ferns?
