Forest Ferns re-launch

Post by Johno S »

If anyone missed my post from the previous board. Forest Ferns is back! The website is a work in progress and designed to be a knowledge resource. There are no plant sales.

I would welcome any feedback. If anyone has any pictures they would like to share or would like to write up a fern I would be very grateful.

Kind regards

Yes, I like the site - It's informative and looks good too.... icon_thumleft

I'd also like to see profile features on Blechnum etc etc...

Hi Simba,

Yes Blechnums are on the to do list as well as adding other species. It’s a long process though! I have so many photos and pieces of information to collate and only a few hours a week, so its slow and sure!

Tom2006 no plans to start selling again I don't think there is a demand for another nursery just selling tree ferns. The UK already have 3 or 4 good ones and I want to help promote these so that they are viable and can keep bring plants into the UK.

Kind regards

Well I've used it already Jon :D had a bit of a problem with my tomentossima(sp?) when my garage door was left open on one of the coldest nights. The pot was semi frozen, not sure of the temperature it endured, but has got frond damage. Looked on your site and -4 for short periods.
