Cordyline kaspar
Re: Cordyline kaspar
OMG i want those SOOOOO bad, cant someone genetically engineer these things to last a cold spell????
Re: Cordyline kaspar
They are nice Adrian, good trick though, getting just the right amount of frost to just knock em back enough to force them into pupping.
Re: Cordyline kaspar
the first big flush of pups wasnt induced by damage, the main plant was growing nicely and then wallop I had a mass of them.
I have just checked under the umbrella cloche covering it and glad to see a little bundle of green leaves

Not any more they don't, after the last 2 winters!fieldfest wrote:my main objection to australis is ... the fact that everyone has them
Re: Cordyline kaspar
And a lot of people will dig them out before they have a chance to resprout from the ground, so in years to come theyre will be less too
My heart wants a kaspar (or 10 ) but my head says waggy

Here MikeC, is my C. obtecta 'green goddess' or whatever it now is, following a bad December.
Re: Cordyline kaspar
Was this year Adrian, I plonked one of them saw-horse Diy things over the top with a fleece on it, the snow would have trounced them other-wise.
I've got two right close to each other there, and was wondering what to plant with them that was going to be shorter but the same leaf-form to make up a threesome, but seeing your one it don't look as though I'm going to have to worry about that.
