I sowed some codyline indivisa seed in a heated propagator about 10 weeks ago. As yet nothing has germinated. Am I too impatient? I know it might not be true indivisa but I got it from a recommended seed company in New Zealand so I'm hoping it will come true as I lost my indivisa last winter.
Thanks
Cordyline Indivisa Seed Germination Times
Re: Cordyline Indivisa Seed Germination Times
I've had very mixed results sowing cordylines indoors. The only ones I've managed to get to germinate were some C. australis purpureum and C. dracaenoides. My attempts at sowing the plain green one and indivisa failed miserably.
I think you'll have more success germinating them outdoors during the summer. Tempertures in the range of 15-20 degrees is probably more than enough. Remember these comes from higher up in the humid mountains of NZ where the temperature is fairly cool. The daily fluctuation in temperature you get outdoors will probably help as well.
Should do well for you in NW Scotland
