I better start the ball rolling on this new topic.

Here to start is the late Autumn picture of the St denys Phoenix canariensis_CIDP taken about late September last year.

I will try to get some other pictures of other CIDPs around the City next year.

Plus a couple also taken last year of the large CIDPs from Southsea common.

Sorry that I haven't had a chance to update these to this year but they are all okay and thriving well.

Will update as soon as I possibly can.

They look much more more like Phoenix dactylifera to me.

Just the one on the right I mean, doesn’t have a bushy crown like a Phoenix canariensis_CIDP.

I saw this one in Weymouth at Groves Malthouse earlier this year. It's been there at least a couple of years that I know of.

We need some pictures of the CIDPs in London?
Last years will do as I think they all came through the last 3 winters okay.
Just pull them up from back posts.

There used to be lots of large ones in Gravesend, but not found one still there after 2010 :(

There are 4 large Phoenix canariensis_CIDP palms on the corner of Warwick square and Kensington high st.

The best one is on the other side of the corner by a block of flats.

I googled them today and the seem ok up to April last year but may have been killed by last winter so if any forum member in the area could possibly update us on these or get decent pictures it would be good to have them on this thread.

They're all still there and very much alive Bill! I'll try and get some pics soon but I go past them several times a week icon_thumright

Thanks Leunerj,

I look forward to seeing them as I rarely get time to visit London.

A picture of that big one on Lambeth bridge would be worth seeing again on this thread as well plus any others that you can think of?
