Forget when I planted this Waggy but won't forget the first time I've seen it bloom after trimming some spent Chamaerops leaves today to reveal the above. Discovered this the same day as another Trachycarpus first. Explanation to follow.......

Underneath view of my 33 year old (planted) Trachycarpus fortunei, showing new inflorescences and last year's spent ones. For the first time ever it carried fruit so for 32 years I thought the plant was male. The same day I found out the Waggie was flowering for the first time, I made another first time discovery. Explanation to follow.........

My first offspring from a newly recognised female Trachycarpus fortunei.

I was preparing the bed to take a potted Musa basjoo and saw this little baby TF. The Musa was to be shaded by the Trachycarpus and it in turn will give shade to the Trachycarpus's offspring....until the time I dig it out and pot it up.

I have 1000s of seedlings. I now have to weed them out as just toooo many. They are popping up everywhere.
Best regards
