Washingtonia filifera HELP Please

Hi. I'm new to this forum so Hello everyone.
Would really appreciate some advice please.
New growth on my washy showing brown areas as shown in photos? Its growing well but at least 4 new fonts,two unopened are looking manky.
Frost damage or something??? John

I've had the same on mine. Maybe it's frost damage, or it was caused by to much wet weather.

They grew back fine, so I don't think you have to worry. Nice Washi you've got icon_thumleft

I agree with Eddie seems like wet damp i had it on a Trachycarpus that had next doors tree overhanging it causing constant damp/drips. Tree now gone and new fronds looking good. Oh and welcome to the forum icon_thumleft

Thanks Eddy and Jim.
Did think it could be from the wet climate.
I've only had it two years,covered it for first winter with a very large homemade pollytunnel which done a great job but an eyesore and a lot of work!
It's to big to cover so probs going to use heat cable wraped around trunk next winter👍

I think the only way my washy is going to look it's best is with large canopy to keep the rain away from the growing point.
Going to be some work due to the height but worth it I think!! Cant have it looking rubbish every summer🤔
