Under glass you can grow anything, even in Siberia...
I guess for Trachycarpus the summers in Iceland are to cold as Reykjavik has a subarctic maritime climate, and the winters can be very cold to. I guess even growing ordinary oaktrees there would be a challenge!

There are palms on Iceland Im telling ya.
There are Trachys that is recorded that they´ve been surviving some -30 to -31,3 Celsius. In least they said so in Chameorops magazine, ill check the issue.
