Can I move Cordyline Australis
Can I move Cordyline Australis
My next door neighbour has a lovely Cordyline, and has told me that he is going to get rid of it. Its about 12ft ish and he has said that if I can move it, its mine!!! Now do you think its possible? if so when would the best time be to move it? How big would the roots likely be? Would love to have it. Its branched off 2 or 3 times. I will try anything, but is it too big?
Re: Can I move Cordyline Australis
It'll move Anita , try and get as much root as possible though and don't let it get too dry. There are a few threads somewhere on moving Cordylines, try a search as I'm sure someone posted an almost failure free method somewhere
Re: Can I move Cordyline Australis
i was able to take a cordyline which had branched into 3 from root, which all 3 branches
had broken completely from root, plant all 3 seperately, and with a lot of feeding and watering they are now as strong as ever...... hard work but worth it
sandy soil, tomato feed, miracle grow for veg, and some food pellets
