pollen????

Hello, i have just been stripping some fibre off my trachycarpus fortunei, when i noticed some small orange grains by the new growths, about a quarter of a millimetre across. Could this be pollen then?

i don,t know what that is ,i have never seen it on any of my trachys .

If the Trachycarpus isn't flowering itself, it could always be pollen from something else of course, but Bob may well be right.

It cant be Trachycarpus pollen because they havent flowered yet

Yeah, i think you must be right, it is barely over 50 cms tall

Bob, while on the subject of fungi, i notice many white solid blobs on the lower petioles. do u think this could be something of interest
