Dave has recommended warm/hot water soaking for seeds as they expand, air in the seed escapes and then as they cool they "suck" in some water, which helps start germination.
I read today of what might be an alternative, which is to put the seeds, and water, in a pump-up sprayer such that the pressure causes water to move into the seed.
Apart from the faff of getting seeds / water into, and out of, the sprayer does anyone think this method may have any merit? or pitfalls?
I have a small 1L sprayer I use for misting plants and might give it a go.

OK, just you and me know then?tropical Tom wrote:one word.......Nitrozyme......don't tell everyone
I stuck it into Google and majority of the hits are Cannabis sites - IME that's a good sign as they have their cash-crop growing down to a fine art.
Also find a thread here discussing that, once diluted, Nitrozyme might be pretty similar to Maxicrop et al.

Essentially they are the same thing with Nitrozyme being 5 X concentrated over Maxicrop.Kristen wrote:once diluted, Nitrozyme might be pretty similar to Maxicrop et al.
