Roots Exposed on my Tracy and Cordy Invista
Please see below pic, the roots of the the palms are exposed and I am worried it could be damaged by frost in the winter. Any thoughts of what I should do or are those dead roots?

Re: Roots Exposed on my Tracy and Cordy Invista
Hi Sat,
The roots on the Trachycarpus are not dead but they produce adventurous roots from the base. I would just cover with pea gravel to stop them drying out too much.
Sorry to say your Cordy indivisa is not indivisa, the leaves are too narrow and numerous. It may have been labelled indivisa, but the american market calls everything indivisa unless forked Some of the more unscroupleless wholesalers are jumping on that bandwagon Again mound soil or gravel up against the stem to keep the roots from drying out
